The 2016 Seoul Science & Technology (S&T) Forum, co-hosted and co-organized by National Research Council of Science & Technology (NST), Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), Science and Technology Policy Institute (STEPI), Green Technology Center (GTC) and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), will be held in Seoul, Republic of Korea from 27-28 October, 2016.

Since its launch in 2010, the Seoul S&T Forum has served as a platform for discussing the inclusive and sustainable development of science and technology. It has also provided compelling content and opportunities for participants and key stakeholders from various fields to interact with each other.

Under the theme of “Science, Technology & Innovation (STI) for Better Life,” this year’s Forum will use its first session to highlight innovative, forward-thinking Government-funded Research Institutes (GRI). In the remaining two sessions, it will foster in-depth discussions on shared growth via Official Development Assistance (ODA) in science, technology and innovation, and examine ways of achieving greater cooperation among nations in using technology to respond to climate change.

Not only will the Forum foster thought exchanges and concrete partnerships among specialists, but it will also promote multilateral cooperation for sustainable development through science and technology.
