The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) Seoul Global Office is an extension of WFP’s Partnership and Advocacy Department in its Rome HQ and manages WFP partnerships with all sectors of the Republic of Korea (ROK). The primary role of the WFP Seoul Global Office, which was established first in 2005 as an outpost office and became a full-fledged global office in 2011, is to strengthen WFP/ROK’s strategic partnership and secure resources for WFP operations.

WFP works in over 120 countries and territories to bring life-saving food to people, and help individuals and communities find life-changing solutions to the multiple challenges they face in building better futures.

In 2020, WFP was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. And in 2022, ROK became WFP’s top 10 government donor.
